Disclaimer

When the author discovered Dharug in distress they immediately contacted Koala Rescue and followed their instructions. The bucket was sterilised and filled with filtered water. Dharug’s behaviour was natural and instinctive.

Dharug was not handled or coerced. After several hours Dharug descended the tree and had another long drink. Dharug then waddled home to the gum tree reserve accompanied by the author acting as safety warden.
